Sean Newman is a Managing Director and Financial Advisor at Jefferies, a leading global, full-service investment banking and capital markets firm. In this capacity, he provides custom investment advisory solutions to wealth management clients, with an emphasis on alternative investments, structured products, and emerging market bonds.  Prior to joining Jefferies, Sean was Chief Investment Officer for Sagicor Group, responsible for Group Treasury, Asset Management, & Investment Bank functions. Over the course of his more than 25 years of experience, Sean served as Senior Portfolio Manager for the Emerging Markets team at Invesco Fixed Income, Portfolio Manager covering Emerging Market Sovereign & Corporate Debt for GE Asset Management. Prior to moving into that role, he was a Research Analyst covering US & European IG & HY Fixed Income securities. He began his career as an Analyst at GE Capital through the Marketing Risk Leadership program. Sean holds an MBA from Howard University, and a BS in Management and Accounting from the University of the West Indies.
